Are you sick of wading through the ever-increasing amount of junkmail arriving in your inbox? Aberdeen Internet can offer you our spam filtering service which blocks approximately 90% of SPAM e-mail before it is downloaded into your mailboxes. Many of our clients have signed up for this service and now say they simply couldn't imagine life without it! Users do not have to waste time deleting unwanted junk emails, as the majority are already removed before you download your mail. (Any emails that are incorrectly identified will be available to view online and can be released to the intended recipient by your nominated administrator).

The fees for the service are shown below, and we are currently offering a free 2 week trial to all of our customers.

The fees are based on the number of user addresses to be filtered. For example, say your company receives mail to the following addresses: info@bloggs.com, sales@bloggs.com, support@bloggs.com, john@bloggs.com, mary@bloggs.com, steve@bloggs.com Then you have 6 users, so would need to purchase a 10 user account. Fees start at £41.58 per month for a 10 user account – that’s less than a £1 per week for each mail address being filtered!

(Note: The system checks the number of unique and active e-mail addresses that you are regularly receiving mail to. When adding up users, remember to ensure you include general addresses (eg sales@, info@).

Optional Mail Archiving (Available on 25 and 50 user accounts)
Our optional email archiving solution will capture all inbound and outbound email, regardless of the location it was sent to/received from. Having multiple offices or home workers offers no problem for us.

As emails pass though our system a copy of the email is encrypted (128bit) and stored securely within our data storage vaults. As an alternative, an option to have archived emails stored within the business premises is offered. Your data is stored on highly secure servers, and encrypted using asymmetric encryption (similar to PGP). Users can only access archived data over a secure (https) connection, if they have the correct username and password to access the site, if they have been granted permission by the administrator, and if they hold the correct private key

How it works


The spam filtering system detects and stops more than 90% of spam email. By understanding the various techniques that bulk mailers use, countermeasures are created to manage the balance between accepting spam and rejecting genuinely unexpected mail. When a spam email is detected, it is removed from your account and quarantined. In addition, if you wish, you are able to create and implement custom rules based upon emails from specific sender(s), to specific recipients, containing certain words or combinations of words, by attachment size or type.

Mail can be forwarded, rerouted, deleted or quarantined for later review. Administrators can be advised by event monitoring.

Custom filtering rules

Optionally, you can also create additional unlimited rules to be applied per domain or per user. These rules scan for one or more of the following conditions:Sender, recipient, words in subject, words in body, header, size, attachment types, time of day. Once a condition has been met, one of the following actions can be applied: Quarantine, delete, copy, forward, bypass SPAM filtering.

Frequently asked questions


What happens to blocked SPAM emails?
They are stored on the system for 28 days and you can access them via your web-control panel. From there you can view, release them (to recipients) or delete them.

Do I need to create rules to block SPAM?
No, the automatic advanced AI system blocks SPAM automatically. If you wish, you can configure additional blocking rules via the control panel.

Where are the spam filtering systems located?

Will emails be read by a human?
No, the scanning is all by computers.

How reliable is the service?
100% we have back up systems in different physical locations. In fact our systems will "buffer" email if your ISP / mail server goes offline.

Are there any email size limitations that you can scan?
No

Will the service delay my email?
Not noticeably, scanning takes only 0.7 seconds per e-mail.

Can you scan outgoing email as well?

Can you filter out pornographic images as well?
